Demo Night

Last night I had the opportunity to present Surveyr at the Demo Night in Bristol. With just five minutes and four slides – Why This, Why Now, Team, and The Ask – I introduced the problem we’re solving and showed how our MVP helps surveyors complete reports entirely onsite, cutting out the time-consuming prep and write-up. I followed with a live demonstration and then answered questions from the audience for another five minutes.

The conversations that followed were as valuable as the pitch itself. People leaned in with curiosity, asked sharp questions, and shared their own perspectives on the challenges surveyors face. There was a genuine sense of people wanting to help – offering advice, connections, and encouragement. That collaborative energy is exactly what makes Bristol’s startup community so special.

Winning the People’s Choice award was a huge moment for Surveyr. It’s one thing to believe in your own product, but another to see others respond with enthusiasm and validation. The recognition reinforced that we’re tackling a real pain point and building something that resonates with professionals who know how demanding the surveying process can be.

I left the event energised, not just by the win, but by the conversations and connections that came out of it. Surveyr is moving forward with momentum, and I’m excited to keep building, testing, and learning with the community around us.
